About UsFrench Bread Publications is a small press operation in Carlsbad, California. We publish novels, short novels, short story collections, and poetry collections that do not meet the qualifying genre categories normally associated with books. As such, we often find it difficult to get distribution lines. But we feel that literature is too important to suppress just because it doesn't fall into neat categories. We publish trade softcover books and low-rent chapbooks. French Bread Publications is dedicated to quality overall and as such has no discernible editorial or political focus. We usually do very small runs of published material; 200 is not uncommon. NOTE TO AUTHORS: We are not currently accepting submissions of material. This is due to the amount of material we already have; we will review this policy sometime in 2007. |
